The highest tower in the world
With its 2716 ft and 163 floors, the Burj Khalifa is the tallest skyscraper in the world. It can be seen from more than 56 miles away and is the most searched monument on Google.
Burj Khalifa, the highest tower in the world.
For comparison, the Empire State Building is “only” 1250 ft. The Burj Khalifa clearly holds the height record, surpassing by 656 ft the 2nd tower of the ranking, the Tokyo Skytree at 2080 ft. Located in Downtown Dubai, the Burj Khalifa tower is the result of a collaboration of engineers from over 30 countries. Only 5 years were enough to build the Burj Khalifa, a true engineering feat.
Figures on the scale of the Burj Khalifa
The Burj Khalifa was inaugurated on January 4, 2010. Its figures are dizzying and allow one to easily imagine the excessiveness of the project: 1528,48 sq ft of glass and aluminum, a weight of 500,000 tons for a total area of 3336,81 sq ft.
